One of the most challenging things we see in our office are folks that come in with aches and pains caused by sedentary lifestyle. Back pain, hip pain, leg pain often are caused by sitting too long and prolonged inactivity. Muscles that attach from the upper thigh to the lower back get tight from sitting and when a person stands that tight muscle pulls on the lumbar spine of the lower back , which can contribute to pain, disc problems and the like. It is helpful to get up every hour and move about for several minutes. There are specific exercises that can be recommended to help loosen those muscles and free up the tension to the lower back. Always consult your doctor for any medical advice and call your chiropractor for more help if needed. Get up and move and make it a great day!
