research is showing that sitting for prolonged periods of time during the day vastly increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. Since Covid began, more and more people are working from home. They are not walking to the bus stop or train station anymore. They are gaining weight. Folks are experiencing more and more neck and back pain as a result of being hunched over the phones and computers all day. That includes young people. WE encourage you to get up an move during the day, even if it's 5 minutes at a time. If there are stair near you , climb them, go around the block.
